Back in Rome, but rewinding back to Milan

So its been a few days since I last updated the blog because we have been traveling throughout Northern Italy for the past week and I havent had internet and have been very busy exploring and enjoying every second of our travels.  We arrived back in Rome late last night, enjoyed a quick dinner and then passed out in our new apartments.  Thankfully, today we have the day to catch up on everything.  Uploading photos, contacting everyone again, resting up, unpacking and all that stuff.

So here I will rewind back to the first days of our trip and go day by day so that I dont miss anything.  It was definitely a event packed trip filled with non stop sights.  Heres a ton of photos from our first day in Milan,
Huge outdoor/indoor train station of Milan
of course, fashion ads everywhere (I may have bought a scarf in Milan. hey, im not in the fashion capital of the world everyday haha)
The duomo of Milan. Very impressive and ornate on the exterior
Huge arch entering into an interior/outdoor shopping/galleria area

duomo duomo duomo

Cannolis!!
pistachio cookie. may look scary and green, but was sweet and delicious

Inside area behind that arch, filled with people. definitely a cool space
Da Vinci fresco of a forest that used to be covered in plastic until they found it underneath
Michelangelo's last sculpture.  He was working on it when he died and never finished it
castle in a park
Modern museum with some cool exhibits
lots of cool architecture models in the museum
alfa romeo exhibit
 not bad right?
Awesome egyptian italian restaurant with really nice people there
Seafood Risotto! Amazing
They gave us some free Egyptian style pizza to try.  I think its an eggplantish topping? Really good though
They also gave us some really sweet sugary dense cake to try too.  Odd but who doesnt like dessert?
Me and the awesome waiters that were so nice to us.  Made our first day in Milan even more amazing
